GOPAL VEGAN CHEESE TURNING 2!
LOVE is always the first and most important ingredient in my food and creations.
I am nearly celebrating my 2nd anniversary with Gopal Vegan Cheese. A vegan cheese company I completely founded, run and have created by myself for the cows. Bringing amazing, artisan, organic, handmade nut cheeses to the people since 2015! Last weekend I was part of ECO ORGANII MARKET where Gopal Vegan Cheese was given the opportunity to take the stage for a SHOW COOKING. It was truly an incredible experience, why you ask? Because at least 100 people were mesmerised, for a full hour I had everyone’s attention, every single person in the audience was listening to my somewhat hilarious but true activist stories on why I do what I do. It is inspiring and encouraging to see so many people interested in my business, in my mission, in vegan cheese. I expressed some really important views, like why I do what I do and that all I do comes from a place of LOVE and that LOVE is always the first and most important ingredient in my food and creations.
Many business people approach me all the time, wanting a way in, wanting to as they call it “invest” in my business. Which mainly means they just want to make money out of the crazy hard work I do all by myself. (I now have one assistant who works 3 hours a week and its such a help) but I mainly run this business all by myself, smashing out between two to three hundred cheeses a month. I have no interest in the big bucks, in lying the cheeses in the supermarket, plastic packaging my beautiful babies and sell out. NO WAY! I am unique. I am different. I am an animal rights activist AND a vegan chef. All I do always is for the animals. That’s my fight, that’s my passion. My company has grown so much in only 2 years time….. I stood there last weekend, in front of all that people and when I asked who already knows Gopal Vegan Cheese all these hands just went up. I cannot describe in words what that means. It means what I do is working. There are more vegan cheese companies rising up now in Lisbon and I am so happy about that. I feel no competition, because I know that what I do, the approach I have, the love I have, that makes the difference. You can feel it, see it, taste it.
My business partner Lisa (who I run Foodprintz Cafe with, a vegan cafe in Lisbon) told me the other day a customer told her that her nutritionist recommended her to buy Gopal Vegan Cheese, at every festival or event I do I see people just completely blown away by my cheeses, that is my fuel, these reactions, the support and love from my customers and followers keep me going. At times it isn’t easy, I was totally burned out last month, lost and exhausted. BUT its the love that keeps me going. Meat eaters, cheese eaters they love the cheese too. I have seen my own progress the last two years, I have seen my business grow and develop and I am going to keep going, keep smashing out these cheeses with love, with commitment, with skill and knowledge! All I do is always for the animals first. I love cows. I disagree with the dairy industry so much, all the hurt, torture and destruction we are putting upon these beautiful beings. So I proudly take a stand and say THANK YOU ALL FOR SUPPORTING ME AND MY MISSION! Keep eating those cruelty free babies of mine…… December 1st is our second anniversary and we have a special surprise we are launching, stay tuned!
